* Update your blog regularly , it may seem as a very simple advice but really it helps very much.
* Your title for the blog post should be specific , so that search engines can find or crawl it easily.
* If u have more than one blog , link these blogs with one another.
* similarly if ur friends have blogs , exchange links with each other
* Popularize your blog with social community websites like facebook , twitter etc.
* Use metatags for your each blog post , if you dont know how to add metatags , dont worry i will write about it very soon.
* Use google adwords to see that what you are writing about is how much searched in search engines. it will give you an idea.
* Also i will be discussing in detail about keywords , and google adword , blog submits , cross linkages for increasing traffic to your website.
